Dave Ramsey: by definition(to me): he tells your husband no more money can be spent until all bills are paid. So, if you know me, you know I am not crazy about Mr.Ramsey, but honestly he has opened our eyes to careless spending. We are now focusing on our finacial future, and growing closer with Christ through this process. We take a class every Tuesday night, watch a video, and break into smaller groups. We discuss hardships, successes, and cut up credit cards. October will be our first month really focusing on our "budget". So far, we have paid of 3 credit cards, a chair, and growing our account, with only 1 income. God is good!

Honeymoon Pics II
While in Tulum, Mexico; we visited the Mayan Ruins. It was a 10 minute cab drive from the hotel. At the entrance, you could walk a mile to the ruins, or you could take a train(which do you think we did?) The water was incredibly beautiful, the ruins are on the side of a cliff. Apparently the myans threw people over as sacrifice to the gods.

Honeymoon in Tulum, Mexico
Our honeymoon was spent in Tulum, Mexico; roughly 2 hours from Cancun. We stayed at the Dreams Resort, accompanied by Jason and Amy Rannebarger(in-laws) from St. Louis. We arrived on Saturday, and drank until Friday! The food at the resort...well, lets just say it was "challenging". They had 6 restaurants to choose from: Japanese, Sushi, French,Italian, Seafood, Mexican, and the not so worldly " World Cafe". The French was the tastiest, and breakfast was good. The rest tasted like t.v dinners reheated and placed fancily on a plate! Super gross, but the view made up for it entirely!! Tulum is picturesque beautiful with white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters. At night the sky lit up with a million stars, truly breathtaking. The entrance to our hotel was pretty amazing. You had to be "checked in" at a guard shack to enter the resort. The walkway to our room.
One of the All- you- can- guzzle bars. During the day they are surrounded by bees, but really no one cares since its an open bar and you can drink all day and night.
Our beautiful room.
The hotel grounds on the way to " El Patio" which translates to "the grossest food I have ever eaten"
Beautiful Sandy white beaches, very rocky shore line. You had to almost jump over them to get into the water! Amy twisted her ankle after getting stuck in a rock! Poor thing hobbled the rest of the trip!
Tons of these little guys(and big ones) running around! Iguanas, snakes and lizards were everywhere!
We stayed on the 3rd floor in an ocean-view room. Jason and Amy had an ocean view room, literally on the sand.

We Finally Did It!
August 7th,2009. The day Phillip and I finally tied the knot! We had a very very small wedding with a few family members and Tonia(My Friend from Highschool), and Lance(P's friend). We were married at our church in Hurst, by one our favorite pastors. I am so blessed to have found Phillip and what a blessing to be married by such a wonderful pastor. We dined at Texas de Brazil where Lance and P had an eating contest........and yes, the groom won!! Thank you friends for a great day!

We officially have our wedding date set! August 7! Yay! We will be having a private ceremony at our church, and will leave for Tulum on August 15! Whew! I cant wait!
Jason and Amy(P's brother and his wife) are going with us on our wedding/honeymoon minus josh and alexa! They have been researching everything and our super excited as well! This will be the first time that I will get to meet with them, almost 2 years of emails and phone calls will finally put a face with a name! I know we are going to have a great time, and hopefully God will permit us to go with no:drug wars, hurricanes, swine flu, or earthquakes!

Blah...
Today is the beginning of a new week, and not too much to report! Last week, I was super sick with the stomach flu and nurse P had to take care of me and the kitties.
I am still not used to being out of work and have been searching for a job and volunteering at the church until something comes along. I really feel blessed finding a volunteer job, I love reading with the kids and helping them with homework..ect..
The weekend was tons of fun, Saturday(my first day out after being sick!), P and I visited the Log Cabin Village in Fort Worth. Honestly, the best $7 ever spent!! It was 2 hours of pure fun outdoor 1800 entertainment!! In each log cabin they had guides there who talked about the heritage of their cabin. It was a beautiful sunny day and we learned about the cabins that we drive by pretty often!!

Saturday night we went to a Texas Brahmas Hockey game! Wheeew!! Super Fun!! We had a blast screaming at the team and throwing the tiny bulls onto the ice when they score!!
I hope this weekend will be just as fun filled as the last!!!

Au Revoir Bourjois Paris
Today its official; I am no longer an executive with Bourjois Paris. It has been a great year professionally; and remarkable one personally.
I was blessed to work with fun and talented people, and am sad to say goodbye to my boss Amber, and my colleagues; Kristi, and Tiff. They have all provided a great support system and taught me new things about myself and the career I will continue to build upon.
I had the chance to work with some great artists and had great laughs about the "troublesome" ones!!! My success with this company will lead me to greater things in my future(God willing!!). I wish all the best to Bourjois Family, I know God has a grand plan for each of us.
